Obsidian Sync not showing "Create new vault"

I’ve searched the help docs. What they describe is not reflected in what I see.

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to set up sync for Obsidian. I have previously used git to sync but it was just too fiddly to use. I have just signed up and paid for sync for an easy sync process. However I cannot get the " Create new vault" to appear, either on an existing vault, or a new vault that I create.

Things I have tried

Log in with your Obsidian account

1. Open Settings.
2. In the sidebar, click About.
3. Under Account > Your Account, click Log in.
4. In Email, enter your email.
5. In Password, enter your password.
6. Click Login.

Enable Obsidian Sync

1. Open Settings.
2. In the sidebar, click Core plugins.
3. Enable Sync.

Create a new remote vault

1. Open Settings.
2. In the sidebar, click Sync.
3. Next to Remote vault, click Choose.
4. Click Create new vault.

^ “Create new vault” does not appear.

As soon as I posted this, it appeared

For anyone else reading this, it took a full 30 seconds for the “Create new vault” to appear.

Sorry for the hassle — it turns out the server was suffering a DDOS attack. Should be back to normal now.
