Obsidian Sync: maximum file size limit upgrade?

What I’m trying to do

With Obsidian (Sync) going big, are there any updates to the maximum file size of a file (currently 100 MB)?
In my opinion 100 MB is too little, as in my experience there are often plenty of files with a size above 100 MB in a users wiki database (think of PDF books with graphics, long podcasts, videos etc.) that need to be synced between devices.

An upgrade from 100 MB to 250 MB would be a huge incentive to use Obsidian Sync over iCloud (as iCloud featuring E2E-encryption is an alternative now, albeit not nearly as convenient as Obsidian Sync) and users would benefit a lot from that upgrade.

Things I have tried

Reducing file size from various kinds of files but I nevertheless end up with files (even long audio podcasts) that are between 100 and 200 MB way too often to subscribe to Obsidian Sync again.

Please don’t get me wrong - I’d love to support Obsidian by subscribing to Obsidian Sync permanently but with nowadays files sizes of even audio podcasts or simple PDF files I can’t do that as long as the maximum file size is only 100 MB.

Any helpful answers, especially from liam / Licat etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Akuro

I see, I’m sorry. Unfortunately I can’t edit the „@“ out anymore…

No worries. The forum says you haven’t posted in two years. :scream:

There are a lot more members as of late. For next time… :grinning:
