In 1.8.9 we made File recovery and version history bit more responsive to these changes to help revert. Can you confirm if file recovery or version history have a “correct” one?

Reading back over the thread, the last screenshot of the original post, with the weird blank lines “removed”, is something I’ve seen recently. I have seen merge notifications in my life, but not at all recently, despite seeing merges in the log.
