Obsidian Sync: Add a family plan

Use case or problem

Add a plan targeted for a small family, for example up to 6 accounts each with features similar to the basic sync plan and for a lower price than paying for 3 individual accounts.

Proposed solution

As an example look at the Proton Duo and Family plans:
https://proton.me/family

Compared to the Proton Unlimited plan:
https://proton.me/mail/pricing

Billing would be shared, obviously.

Current workaround (optional)

None. Each family member must have a separate subscription.

If this feature is considered, another example I have seen in the wild and liked is Kagi Search.

Would be good to have a family plan. It could also simply be “shared storage” with multiple accounts (Google’s Family Plan model).

In anycase, really appreciate and love the Obsidian. Keep up the great work!

Just want to add to this.

It would be great if there was a family plan with perhaps one or two extra vaults.

So a family could share information the is necessary while being able to keep their own information secret.

The only option for this currently is for everyone to have Sync Plus which allows for 10 vaults per user which is massive overkill.

Allowing 1 vault per user then 1 - 3 shared vaults for everyone on the plan makes much more sense.

The way maybe the parents can have one and the whole family can have one but you’re not paying for stuff you don’t need.
