I’m having a problem with Obsidian where my settings revert to default after I restart the application. I’ve set the theme to dark mode (in Settings > Appearance) and changed the default attachment location to a subfolder (in Settings > Files & Links > “In subfolder under current folder”). Despite closing the app properly, the theme switches back to light mode, and the attachment location resets to the vault root whenever I reopen Obsidian. I’m running Windows 11 with Obsidian version 1.8.9. I don’t have an Obsidian account and am not using any sync service. How can I make sure my settings save permanently?
