I don’t have problems working on this vault on my Mac, everything works great over there. I keep community plugins always off.

This problem came up months ago, to the point I stopped using the app on my iPhone and used it only on Mac. Today I gave it another chance, downloaded the app again on iPhone and downloaded all attachments to have a localy copy. It worked for the whole morning, but now suddenly the problem is back again.

are you using iCloud or Obsidian Sync?

How many files do you have and what is the total size of you vault?

What is your iphone model exactly?

Does it happen with any file or just one file?

Using iCloud.
Total size of the vault is 9.7 Gb, 2002 files.
iPhone 12, iOS 17.6.1
I don’t get to the point where I can choose a file. The app just opens on the last opened file (or on the “chose a file” screen, if I remove the workspace-mobile.json file), then keeps rebooting.

ok, have you tried disabling third party plugins and themes?

Yes, I never use third party plugins. I also tried switching to the default theme, but nothing changes (except for the theme).

that type of crash, usually means that obsidian is being killed by the OS for using too much memory.
The size of your vault is big but not huge. You don’t have many files. I don’t know if you have some very large markdown file in there that is causing problems.

Thank you! You pointed me in the right direction! I can’t believe I waited all this time and the solution was so simple

In my case it was indeed a large md file (5.3M) with many links to audio attachments. Moving the file outside the Obsidian folder fixed the issue.
