In your defense and for your information, I shall quote my friend: “The only “silly” question is the one that isn’t asked.” You are kinder to yourself than I used to be, though. (I used to call my own “silly” questions “stupid” questions)
I praise you for being courteous and humble, of course. I just hope you don’t habitually criticize yourself or over-apologize (another former habit of mine), my friend. After all, I personally asked many questions that I felt were silly, until my aforementioned friend told me what I’ve now told you. 
It’s not my intention to create a mountain of an ant mound, mind you. I’m replying to a three-year-old post, after all (although the post is worthy of reply, having answered an annoying question I had). I just wanted to let you know that you—no less than anyone else—are very important, and deserve to ask ANY question you feel like asking. 
P.S. And if anyone gives you lip about it, “I got your back, homie!” (as we used to say in high school)
