Obsidian doesn't properly wrap each paragraph in a selection in emphasis tags when bolding/italicizing

Steps to reproduce

Write a paragraph. Add a newline. Write another paragraph. Select both paragraphs. Hit Ctrl-B to bold.

Expected result

Each paragraph wrapped in emphasis with start and end ** markers.

Actual result

The first paragraph starts with **, the second paragraph ends with **

Let’s keep it as a feature request.

Since the bolding doesn’t work in Obsidian either, I think it is a bug.
