I wanted to add that there has been huge progress in RTL support since I joined Obsidian about a year ago. I’m really enjoying Obsidian as a bilingual space that works really well with RTL and LTR integrated inside the notes and in publish. The latest thing that I’ve noticed is that the cursor now rests on the appropriate side of the screen under each language, even switching back and forth in the same note. Having the cursor on the correct side makes my brain work much better, it is very much appreciated. This is just one example.
Thanks for all the work on this! It has had a big impact for me.
I wish I had Obsidian 12 years ago while I was at university Better late than never, it has become an indispensable tool that I use daily for work. Thank you, dear Obsidian Team!
Obsidian is one of the most profoundly well-designed pieces of software I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. Everything works exactly as you expect it would, it’s feature-complete in a way few pieces of modern software are, and it’s deeply user-centric.
I can count on two hands the pieces of software I’ve used in the past 40 years that are so designed for humans. Deeply powerful but never overwhelming. When I find software this good I count it a joy to be able to contribute to its development.
Best note taking app, love it soooooo much. I’m using it almost every days and there are so many excellent features. Before, I was taking note on word file, and it was a real pain.
Thank you so much for them. For them, and for everything else.
I really like the direction Obsidian is going in—this “Notion-like” user-friendliness.
No need to read documentation or anything—just intuitive interaction with the interface.
I like that it moves away from plain-text when the task requires it. At the same time, data accessibility remains high—everything can be exported or found using a regular text search through files.
When I first had to look for software to maintain my own knowledge base, sometime in 2020-2021, current Obsidian was sorely lacking.
There are still many things I don’t like about it, but I think I understand why, and, personally, it’s still better than any other software I know…
Just want to say the Obsidian product is exceptional. From getting very tricky things to just work (like hyperlinks to a document, but when you move the document to another directory, the crosslinks keep working, so you update it seamlessly) to the support on the forums.
Well done and keep on loving your product. It is a testament to the team.
Although Im not at ease with many business decisions team had made, I rate Obsidian extremely high; extremely useful, well-thought-through app; nice, clean UI, exceptional UX.
Thanks, Obsidian team! Obsidian helped me and my partner organise buying a house, and now it’s helping me to store all the recipes I’ve clipped over the years alongside dozens of other small things.
Thank you Obsidian team! You guys have made it extremely easy to switch over from Apple Notes in my current quest to claw my way out of the Apple ecosystem I got sucked into over the years. I won’t lie, I tried some others first. But this app is insanely good. A little too many features for my needs, but knowing that I can learn and grow to maybe be able to use some of the features is nice.
I have used Obsidian since this year, and it is solving the pains I couldn’t get rid of in any setup. Obsidian was hard to get in track, but I found its ceiling is extremely high compared to any other apps, thanks to the extensible design. In most apps, plugins are patchworks; in Obsidian, there are many plugins that unleashes the design space and ‘completes’ the app that I did not know even existed.
