I second this. As a user of Obtainium, I’d like to be able to install Obsidian from GitHub or the website instead.

You can’t — that’s the reason for the post.
You can get an APK of the Insider build, but that’s the beta version of Obsidian.
Interesting. The other day I saw on Mastodon a person refused to use Logseq on mobile because they have to install by downloading the apk file via Logseq GitHub repo. The reason iirc is about security. Here I see people asking for the apk files.
I am confused. How is this relevant?
