Numbered lists not resetting

Apologies, I know this isn’t the most helpful title, but hopefully the description below illustrates the issue.

Steps to reproduce

  1. open obsidian sandbox vault
  2. create a new file
  3. enter the following text into the new file:
1. text
2. more text
3. even more text
# heading 1
1. new
  1. put the cursor at the very end of the file (right after the ‘w’ in new)
  2. press return

Yes

Expected result

1. text
2. more text
3. even more text
# heading 1
1. new
2.

Actual result
