Hi,
I have tried changing the font in Settings - Appearance to Arial and this didnt make any difference.
I can read the text in Obsidian settings fine.
Only some notes seem to be corrupted, I cant open the md files in another editor or in notepad
It may be notes with certain types of attachments that are corrupted?
How can I downgrade the Obsidian version to the previous one?
Thanks for your help
Ok, it wasn’t the update to 1.8.10 that corrupted your notes and reverting to 1.8.9 won’t fix them.
I am not sure how you have Obsidian setup to run on a USB drive, but your best bet is to look at the file recovery plugin (which is NOT a backup solution). See if there are older uncorrupted version of your notes within file recovery.
This type of corruption may happen if your computer crashes or, since you are using a usb drive, if you unplug/usb disconnects while Obsidian is writing on that specific note.
Thanks for the reply. I have subscribed to Obsidian sync and will use that instead of the usb stick. I want to support the project anyway. I have also setup separate backups of my vault folders. Thanks for your help !
