Note-Decay

I kept forgetting to revisit my old notes, so I built this plugin that makes my neglect visible.

Note Decay weighs decisions for each note with a little Again/Hard/Good/Easy bar (SM-2 algorithim, same idea as Anki) and then color-codes your whole vault by how close each note is to its next review, creating an informative heat-map:

  • :green_circle: freshly reviewed
  • :yellow_circle: starting to fade
  • :orange_circle: almost due
  • :red_circle: due / overdue

Grading system:

Its ultimately up to the user how they decide to review the notes, and by which metric they decide the difficulty of this recall. This is only a data visualization tool, flashcard generation or study methods are not provided.

When using the plugin on existing vaults, un-graded notes are seeded from their file’s last-modification date.

I would really like to get some feedback to see if this tool helps anyone improve their study habits using this tool.
