Notebook Navigator is now available! Meet your new Obsidian interface!

Hi Johansan,

I just tried it out, WoW, WoW,

I’m so so impressed, this is **incredibly** well made with so many well-designed details.

Thank you for making it!

Great updates over the last few months — and I noticed there’s now also an option to disable the confirmation dialog before deleting a note. :ok_hand:

One thing I noticed, though: NN still seems to delete files when pressing Backspace, even though another key is assigned to that action.

Is this intentional, or something that might be adjusted in the future?

Last night I was watching Mastering Notebook Navigator 3 for Obsidian and wow, I was continuously blown away, chapter after chapter.

I have been using Notebook Navigator for some months now, and it has improved my workflow tremendously, enabling things that were impossible to do before.

So, with this feeling, and inspired by the Obsidian Appreciation Thread, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your work @johansan, and at the same time create a place for anyone who wants to do it too. I’ll start :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m amazed by the performance and sheer amount of features, which you can customize to a great extent. At the same time, it looks and feels native to Obsidian, I love that. You can easily forget it’s a plugin.

Also, the design choices you have mentioned around file over app, and your choice of default settings clearly shows respect for your users. Your quick and honest responses on the Issues I raised on the repo also creates trust.

Finally, seeing someone immensely focused, head down working on a single thing and delivering so much value regularly, it’s so inspiring. It has motivated me to put in the work in my own projects.

As soon as I’m able to, I will send donations your way, because… quality software deserves your hard‑earned cash.

Thank you, Johan! :handshake:t3:

Hi you need to change the key mapping in Notebook Navigator, see GitHub - johansan/notebook-navigator: Replace the default file explorer in Obsidian with a clean two-pane interface featuring folder tree, tag browsing, file previews, keyboard navigation, drag-and-drop, pinned notes, and customizable display options. · GitHub

It took me 2 hours to leave Ulysses. After 2 years of trying.

THIS is the plugin I’ve been waiting for.
