Note title in default theme

Hi, I am currently using the default Obsidian theme.

When I create a new note, the title of the note automatically displays as though it were an H1 at the top of my note. However, this text is not actually in the .md file (just the file name).

I do want the title to be included in the md text so I have included

# {{title}}

in my template. But, this makes the title display twice. I’d rather keep it in the template if possible and turn off the other display. I feel like I have seen a setting for this before but after digging around in the settings again I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Settings -> Appearance -> Show Inline Title
