Note composer - extracted notes inherit properties

Use case or problem

I was using the note composer core plugin to extract headings from a note, specifically notes on particular meetings from my daily notes. I found that the newly created note had no properties attached to it, although the original note had many.

Proposed solution

I would like to have the option to have extracted notes inherit the properties of the note from which they were extracted. Perhaps even being able to specify a list of properties which are always inherited (e.g. date, tags, author, etc) as I can definitely imagine that inheriting all properties won’t always be ideal, but a simple toggle of inherit or not would still be useful.

Current workaround

Unfortunately I had to just go in and add the properties that I wanted inherited manually on each of the new notes. Thankfully the properties UI makes that easy! But it would be nice to remove that extra step.

This is a must. I have notes that become bigger in time. And using note composer to extract certain parts, as needed, help me keep my notes as atomic as possible. As you mentioned it becomes very tedious to manually copy and paste the properties in the new note. And I can’t set a default template, because I have different properties for different types of notes. One solution that would be very strait forward would be the option to automatically inherit the properties from the original note.
