Not copying from selected cells in Base table

Step one: open a base that has a table as the view (no images, just text)
Step two: select some cells from the table
Step three: press CTRL+C to copy
Step four: attempt to paste to Excel, Word, Notepad using CTRL+V
Step five: nothing pasted.

Can you post a screen recording of what exactly you are doing. Because I can’t reproduce.

Try to use the sandbox vault and also provide us the output of “show debug info” command. Thanks

I’m on macOS, 1.10.3. Can’t copy too.

I’m on Windows 11. Similar issue. The copy-paste in Bases doesn’t work within Obsidian (e.g. to copy values from one cell to another). It also doesn’t work to copy from within Obsidian to other software.

This has been the case since the version where Bases first offered this select-copy-paste functionality within the table.

(Functionality to copy the entire table by clicking on the ‘xx results’ dropdown does work for me.)

When you get 1.10.5, download and reinstall Obsidian.

If it still happens, provide a screen recording of exactly the actions you are doing to reproduce the bug in the sandbox vault.

Obsidian 1.10.6

See linked video. I select items from a column in a base

I press CTRL+C

Go to new note and attempt to paste and nothing happens.

Trying to paste it into a text editor reveals all it is pasting is a return character.

Have you already updated your installer if it’s on an older version?

Bases copy-paste doesn’t seem to work on older installers.

I can’t reproduce,. I can’t access your video either.

Seems sub-optimal that the installer doesn’t stay updated with program updates.

However, that did solve the problem
