Not all data is saved when closing right after pasting a large amount of text

Indeed. The various forms of “Obsidian didn’t save my note when I quit the app” bugs (I know I will be told that these bugs were “different”, but that is pure pedantism). The net effect was having to live with a taped-together handful of homegrown scripts to create backups and alert to corrupt files just to feel some sense of safety when working in the app.

This has been going on for close to 4 years. Just some examples…

In any case, glad it’s finally getting the attention it always deserved.

I want to stress me asking for for more proof is not a sign that we don’t believe you.

If we can’t reproduce the problem, or look at the code and can’t understand how what you describe is happening, we are only left with asking you more and more questions/proof to try to narrow down the circumstances under which the bug happens.

After this my experience with having and reporting the issue, i don’t feel safe even at this point. I don’t see a way by which that could be changed, except checking the source code myself.
