New Plugin: Semantic Canvas

Semantic Canvas makes canvases and note properties work together. It adds commands to:

  1. Create a canvas based on a note’s properties (aka metadata)
  2. Update note properties based on the contents of the canvas

Available now in Obsidian’s Community Plugin list.

This is a great plugin that I considered using instead of Metadata menu, but I didn’t because there is no sync between canvas groups and links and note properties, you have to use the command each time to update properties, which doesn’t suit my use case

You’re welcome & thanks for the kind words. Perhaps someday I’ll grow ambitious enough to try to tackle keeping things in sync. I definitely understand the value. There just arise some messy edge cases (e.g. two canvases, each displaying different aspects of a given note)
