MindDock is a platform for tamper-proof, privacy-first document storage —
built on Internet Computer, where your data lives across a distributed
network of nodes rather than on servers owned by a single company.

Today I’m releasing the Obsidian plugin for MindDock.

It connects your vault directly to the platform. One right-click on
any note — Dock to MindDock — and that note is cryptographically
timestamped, end-to-end encrypted, and stored permanently across
the network. No single party, including me as the developer, can
manipulate the record.

The plugin doesn’t replace Obsidian — it adds a trust layer on top
of your existing vault. Your notes stay where they are. Your workflow
stays the same. You simply choose which notes to notarize.

What the plugin adds to your vault:

  • Unforgeable authorship timestamp for any note or folder
  • Mind Trail: immutable version history — every change permanently
    recorded, even deletion leaves a trail
  • Proof URL: a public link you can share to prove authorship to anyone
  • Full E2E encryption — your plaintext never leaves Obsidian

With Anthropic’s recent Mythos preview and Karpathy’s tweet on digital hygiene, it’s a good moment to think about how we protect our Obsidian vaults.

As models become significantly more capable, our “second brain” increasingly becomes a high-value target.

Practical steps worth considering:

  • Keep important vaults fully offline (no sync, no cloud)

  • Encrypt the vault contents

  • Use strong cryptographic primitives such as VetKeys for end-to-end encryption and tamper-proof storage
