New folder: Default location?

What I’m trying to do

I would like to be able to create a new folder in the current folder rather than the vault root.

Missing setting?

New files and new attachments have a default location setting… Is there one for new folders?

I usually create my folders through selecting the base folder in the file explorer and then click the create new folder. You can also right click a folder and select create new folder.
