Use case or problem
I’m requesting native RTL (e.g. Arabic, Hebrew) support for math blocks. Right now, writing scientific or technical notes in Arabic/Hebrew is really difficult because LaTeX formulas don’t render correctly in RTL interfaces.
Official support for correct rendering of RTL math blocks would be a huge step forward for the scientific community in RTL regions, allowing us to rely on Obsidian for serious academic work without worrying about future compatibility.
Current workaround (optional)
“RTL Math Text” plugin is a great workaround, relying on custom syntax like $$\R{\text{…}}$$ makes our notes fragile if the plugin ever breaks. Proposed solution
