I don’t have any experience with Remotely Save, I was just trying to understand your setup (it sounded like you were using Dropbox on iOS).
I think your Dropbox setup sounds reasonable. I wouldn’t describe it as '“using Sync … via Dropbox”. I would describe it as you did here: using Sync, and backing up via Dropbox on desktop.
