Staying sane while trying to bulk edit multiple lines. Obsidian has an option for multiple cursors, yet placing multiple of them (what an irony) is very annoying, as it requires dragging the cursor. Additionally, the main cursor blinks out of sync with other added cursors.
Proposed solution
Add an option to place a column of cursors by placing the first cursor on the first line, and then while holding Shift+Alt placing another cursor on the last line of the column. An example of this functionality is available in Visual Studio Code.
Have you even read my post? I said, am aware about Alt+Shift+Drag, but this is very anoying to use. Especially if the file is long or while using touchpad.
On top of that, it is easy to mess up. You have to first use Alt+Shift, then start holding the left mouse button, otherwise it will not work. Moreover, onced placed coursor, cannot be removed, you have to start from the begging if you missclick.
Method I have described (Alt for placing multiple, Alt+Shift for placing a column) is way easier. Thats the point of my post. You don’t have to aggree with me on that. It does not have to be easier method for you or something you need. Yet suggesting me the very same solution I said am not happy with and then moving my post to help section is more than childish.
