I think that there should be a auto-capitalization function because it is really important in notes making application.
Second when we press ctrl + U for the underline shortcut instead of activating underline function it is performing undo function. Please remove the undo function from there and add a underline function in software
Third can we get a highlight shortcut in which we can choose any color we want to higlight it to make the data separated from one another according to our needs
It seems to me like you’re generally looking for some rich text/word processor features … but the thing is that Obsidian is a markdown editor (i.e.: plain text) at its core …
Underline, iirc, isn’t a markdown thing… at least, not an Obsidian’s flavour markdown thing …
So, if you want to underline anything, per Obsidian’s documentation, you need to rely on HTML :
<u>I'm underlined</u>
And there are community plugins which can help with that (making the insertion of the HTML tags easier)
Now, if you already use one of these plugins and the hotkey doesn’t work as expected, you could take a look at Obsidian’s settings in Settings > Hotkeys to see if there isn’t any conflict and maybe re-assign one or the other shortcut …
This can probably also be achieved with a community plugin or another (depending on your use case) …
