I regularly use the Windows feature where you drag on an empty spot in the title bar and release along the edge of the screen in order to split the screen vertically between Obsidian and another application. I resize Obsidian to a relatively narrow size. When at this size (or when at full size with many notes open) it is difficult to find a spot to click and drag the title bar of Obsidian in order to tile it with another window again.
Proposed solution
It would be nice if Obsidian saved space at a specific area of the title bar to be used for the purpose of repositioning the application window,
Current workaround
When I remember I will sometimes use the Windows Key + Left Arrow hotkey, but it is difficult to break old habits. And, if I am using a mouse or stylus, the hotkey is not ideal.
When I have multiple tabs and toolbars enabled, the top area of the Obsidian window becomes completely filled, leaving no space to click and drag to move the window around my desktop. This is inconvenient when managing window positions across monitors
Proposed solution
Add a setting under Settings → Appearance (or Window), such as a checkbox for ‘Preserve window drag area in title bar’. When enabled, Obsidian would ensure a small, dedicated strip at the very top of the window remains click-through and usable for dragging the window. Alternatively, allowing double-click on empty space in the tab bar to maximize/restore (common in many apps) would also help.
