Mobile: Remap quick switcher button on the mobile navigation bar

Use case or problem

I want to change what the βŠ• :magnifying_glass_tilted_left: button does.

Proposed solution

The same way the ribbon button can be changed, letting the βŠ• :magnifying_glass_tilted_left: also be changed would be nice (so we could have three ways of quick shortcuts on mobile – pulldown, ribbon button, and βŠ• :magnifying_glass_tilted_left:).

Current workaround (optional)

None? Maybe a plugin can change it, but I don’t know of one.

Edit as of 1.9.10

The βŠ• button is now a :magnifying_glass_tilted_left: button.

Obsidian Commander feature request from May 10, 2023 – It is possible to add or adjustment the bottom bar on obsidian mobile?

I second this motion.

The latest version of Quick Switcher++ added the ability to override the mobile plus button! This is the main reason I wanted this feature in the first place. Also, I’m sure you can adapt the code for other purposes if needed.

Edit:
And here’s the commit for the changes needed from that commit to Obsidian 1.6.1.

Hi @Abisheik , did you find a workaround? Personally the (+) button and arrows are waste of space cause I use the mobile quick action to navigate between pages.

I’m deleting all the replies in here that are about my solution to this to leave this thread more about just the feature request itself.

Here is a new thread for my solution/workaround:
