Missing community plugin (Notebook Navigator)

I heard about the “Notebook Navigator” plugin for Obsidian about seven weeks ago when it was posted in the Obsidian subreddit.

(My forum account is new, so I can’t link to it, but the Reddit post from 9 June 2025 is still there: “I missed Apple Notes, so I created it as an Obsidian plugin.”)

I would really like to try this plugin, so since then I’ve been checking the Obsidian community plugins directory for it, but it doesn’t seem to have been approved yet.

Can anyone help me understand what’s taking so long? 50 days seems like a long time to wait for plugin approval.

Well, Obsidian’s team is small and I think only one of its member reviews/approves the submitted plugins

Checking on GitHub though, the plugin was (re)submitted on Jun 26 (there is an earlier submission, on Jun 8, but the plugin’s author closed the PR :woman_shrugging: ) and I think plugins are reviewed by their “creation”/submission date (I could be wrong though :innocent: ) .

It’s coming! Joe reviewed it today! I have just submitted the fixes in version 1.3.7. Hopefully only hours away now!

It’s been another eight days and I still can’t find Notebook Navigator when I go to look for community plugins to install.

Is it still coming?

Sorry, there are no expected timelines for plugin approval.
If you cannot wait, go to the plugin repository on github and install it manually.
