I’m on iOS, and I’m thinking to replace my kindle with a BOOX tablet ( BOOX Go 10.3 / Android 12 / 4Gb Ram) where I would be able to run the Readwise - Reader App. I wonder if it could also handle Obsidian ?
Do you know the minimum requirement?
I found this thread while researching the compatibility of Boox devices (which I am considering as a replacement to my aging Kobo Clara HD) with Readwise Reader. I also use Obsidian, although I am not sure whether I would need it on my eReader.
According to this site, the minimum Android version supported by Obsidian is 5.1, so any of them should be fine. I can’t speak about the RAM usage, but I use Obsidian on many devices (older and newer Android, and iOS) and so far it has run fine anywhere I threw it on. For what its worth, my largest vault has around 3,000 notes in it. In my experience it’s not the app itself that is demanding, it’s some of the plugins. Fortunately one can exclude the enabled plugins from being synced between devices.
