Middle-click-opening a Base note doesn't respect pinned notes

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a Base (or open an existing Base)
  2. Pin the Base
  3. Pin 2-4 other notes
  4. Open a note from inside the pinned base (using mouse middle click)

Expected result

The note opens in a tab after the pinned notes

Actual result

The note opens in a tab adjacent to the pinned Base note, ignoring the other pinned notes

Additional information

Note that the behaviour works correctly when clicking a link inside the Base (e.g. the note opens in a new tab after the pinned notes). Only by using the middle-mouse-click is the behaviour incorrect/inconsistent

This is not a bug

Pinned notes means don’t open links in this tab.
Pinned notes doesn’t mean that a new tab will be created after all pinned notes.

@whitenoise It’s inconsistent behaviour.

A left-mouse click opens the note after the pins (last tab) and a middle-mouse click opens the note after the adjacent note (2nd tab). See the GIF.

This is not related to bases, happens with regular notes as well.

Click opens in the rightmost location (when the current tab is pinned), Middle-click always opens next to the current tab

Ok, please create a FR for this. Thanks.

Will do. Thanks for the additional explanation! :folded_hands:t3:
