Middle-Click on navigation back button to open the previous page in a new tab like most browsers

Use case or problem

Navigating through notes in Obsidian, I frequently wish to explore related information in page history on a new tab while maintaining my current context. The current navigation back button only allows me to return to the previous page in the same tab, disrupting my workflow.

Proposed solution

Enable a middle-click functionality on the navigation back button to open the previous page in a new tab. This would streamline the process, aligning Obsidian with standard web browser behavior and enhancing the overall user experience.

That would make it more consistent with the rest of the UI. I was very surprised to see it doesn’t do this.

This is similar to how browsers manage the history and is an intuitive shortcut.

As the title suggest, this would be a nice tweak to conform more with the standard tab navigation experience
