I’m using The Minimal Theme and have disabled the “Maximize media” choice in the settings:
however, this does not work in reading mode but in live preview mode:

Well, solution comes out just after my post. You should disable the Image grids features of The Minimal Theme Settings:
Because this function will recognize every group of picture(s) as a sequence of pics to display so it will automatically resize it to fit the screen width.
