Since a few weeks my tables are numbered like in Excel. Every row has a number and every column a letter. How can I disable this.
Things I have tried
Checked my css snippets and plugins and disabled some of them but I don’t know which one could cause this.
Switched from prism theme to minimal theme but no luck
This is definitively not a vanilla Obsidian markdown table …
The table in your screenshot does make me think about a Dataview snippet I’ve seen around (I can’t remember where exactly) …
Sadly, other than suggesting you to switch to Obsidian’s default theme, disable your plugins and CSS snippets one by one to spot the one(s) potentially producing that result, I don’t see what else to do …
that’s correct. There is some css styling behind this table
The thing is that these numbers and letters showed a few weeks ago, and I’m using this snippet for a long time.
I will need to check all my other snippets and plugins one by one indeed…
Thanks for your quick answer. Hopefully someone else does know where it comes from, if not I will close this post.
If you use the css quick shifter menu from the css editor plugin, you could rather easily traverse down the list of various snippets and enable/disable as you go and see the immediate effect behind the popup menu.
Another option could be to use the developer tools and focus on one of the added elements, and see the origin of that css.
Lastly, you could also search the snippets folder and look for table or similar to locate which snippets affects tables.
