Markdown Dialect (Obsidian and Typst)

What I’m trying to do

I use Obsidian to write fiction and non-fiction, and I like it!
Now I want to use Typst to typeset books and articles.
The first snag I hit is that Obsidian’s markdown dialect uses ‘#’ to indicate headings, and Typst uses ‘=’ (in the same way: one ‘#’/‘=’ per level).

My question: is there a way to configure the markdown dialect in Obsidian or Typst?

Typst is not a markdown dialect, even if some of the syntax has similarities.

The go-to way to convert between markdown and typst is to use pandoc.
