Manually install of a new version on Windows resets a lot of settings

I didn’t got any update notification and therefore I decided to manually install from v.0.11.13 to the latest beta v.0.12.3. The installer noticed that a current instance of Obsidian was running and the installer closed it. After the installation the new instance missed many settings. Only my Obsidian acount was still available. But the vault, sync, templates, … was missing.

The installer shouldn’t delete / ignore current settings.

The installer does not delete your settings because your settings are stored in your vault not in Obsidian Installation directory.

Thanks. I just figured it out. I switched the vault and everything was there. After the installation an Obsidian help vault was the default vault after launching the app. That confused me.
