MacOS Sequoia Obsidian Helper (Renderer) unresponsive, process memory usage > 10GB

Hi, I searched the forum and could only find some older large cpu usage bugs for renderer.
Currently when I open Obsidian on Mac Sequoia on M1 Pro it works well for 10min or so then the Obsidian Helper (Renderer) process in activity monitor goes up to over 10GB of memory usage, my entire computer slows down and Obsidian itself becomes unresponsive (can’t click anywhere, can’t type, etc…). I believe this started happening after I upgraded to Sequoia.
Any help much appreciated!

I think adding some more context would help here  :

  • What’s your version of Obsidian
  • Where is your vault stored ? (Do you sync your vault across devices? If yes, how ?)
  • Does it happen if you toggle On the Restricted mode (under Obsidian’s Settings > Community plugins) + disabling all potential CSS snippets you could be using while being on Obsidian’s Default theme ?

Alternatively, you could share here the content of your vault’s debug info… which you can get from the command palette in Obsidian by looking for the command Show debug info  .

Thanks! Below is my debug info, my vault is stored in Dropbox, I will try the Restricted mode to see if it fixes!

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Community plugins: for bugs, please first try updating all your plugins to latest. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community plugins.

Restricted mode has fixed this, so likely it’s one of those plugins, many thanks for the tipoff /u/Pch
