macOS — how to assign (or find) a working shortcut for inline code (…)?

Hi everyone,

I’ve searched and found an older thread from 2020 (https://forum.obsidian.md/t/keyboard-shortcut-for-inline-code-block/7284) that explains how to set a shortcut for inline code.

Unfortunately, that thread is closed and the solution doesn’t seem to work on my current setup.

You should be able to select the text and type the ` (backtick) key once:

There’s also the Toggle code command you could assign a hotkey (it’s unassigned by default):
