macOS 26 Tahoe + Obsidian + large vault = Beachball and very slow startup?

I’m starting this post here just to get some feedback. I don’t have enough to make a formal post in Bug Reports yet. But I was wondering if anyone else on Mac is having problems since updating to macOS 26.

For me, I get much slower load times with my vault containing about 10k notes. I often get the spinning beachball for a few seconds. Overall, my vault used to open in about 3 seconds, and now takes close to 10 on most launches.

My system is a Mac Mini M4 Pro with 48GB RAM, and Obsidian 1.9.14

I haven’t changed my plugin config or anything.

Anecdotally confirming this is much better for me on macOS 26 since the new Electron builds. Don’t think I’ve experienced the beachball in a few days.
