Using Obsidian 1.11.5 on MacOS 26.2.
The Mac inbuilt text substitutions (“Smart Quotes”, “Smart Dashes” and “Text Replacements”) are available through the menubar under “Edit→”Substitutions” (see attachment). These entries are toggles (on/off) and operate correctly but their state is not shown in the menu bar.
Expected behaviour When active, one would expect the menubar to display “✓ Smart Quotes” or similar.
