Hey everyone! ![]()
I’m excited to share something I’ve been working on — Obsidian Stickies Pro, a small macOS app designed to make quick note-taking feel effortless while staying connected to your Obsidian workflow.
It started as a personal project because I often found myself jotting things down in Apple Stickies or Notion before realising I wanted everything in my Obsidian vault — but jumping into Obsidian for small, temporary notes felt too heavy. So, I built a lightweight alternative that works exactly like native macOS stickies… but writes directly into your Obsidian Daily Notes (or works standalone if you prefer).
Here’s what it does:
True Markdown editing — write naturally with syntax highlighting, not a WYSIWYG editor.
Daily Notes integration — your stickies automatically append to today’s .mdfile in Obsidian.
Standalone mode — use it even without Obsidian; all notes are stored locally as .mdfiles.
Native macOS design — clean, minimal, and feels right at home on your desktop.
Quick capture — Drag and drop image, paste codes and pin stickies to stay on top
It’s especially useful for fleeting thoughts, reminders, or quick daily logs — everything you’d normally scribble on a sticky note, now seamlessly linked to your Obsidian system.
If you’d like to check it out, it’s available on the Mac App Store (search Obsidian Stickies Pro).
I’d really appreciate any feedback, feature ideas, or bug reports — the Obsidian community has always inspired me, and I’d love to hear how you’d like to see this evolve.
Thanks for reading, and happy note-taking! ![]()
