What I’m trying to do
I understand it’s a best practice to create new iCloud vaults using iPhone, which I did (two new Vaults). I can see the Vaults in my Obsidian folder in iCloud and in the iPhone app but nothing I do makes them appear in the pulldown menu in the desktop client. I’d just use them in iPhone but I have an .enex file I need to import.
Things I have tried
Rebooted the computer, turned wifi off and on, renamed the vaults with fewer characters, checked for app updates.
I’m using version 1.12.7, the Mac version is Sonoma 14.8.5.
Click on the vault name in the bottom-left sidebar and open the vault switcher (Manage vaults...)
and you want to Open folder as vault
Choose the vault (folder) you want to open in iCloud Drive.
Thanks a million. Guess I should have said in the OP I’m a rank newbie.
Have managed to almost finish an import of 14 years worth of stuff I built up in Evernote however - it’s a truly impressive program! I’ll be donating toward its development soon.
Sounds good!
Also, as you are using iCloud Drive, in the Finder/Files app make sure to right-click or long-press on the Obsidian folder with the icon and choose Keep Downloaded on all devices.
This keeps iCloud Drive from randomly removing parts of your vault.
