Local Obsidian Hackathon

I’ve run a local developer meetup group monthly for a while now where we do mob programming, lightning talks, etc etc.

Sometimes we will host a mini hackathon or develop stuff over time collectively.

The next one we are planning is to develop an open source Obsidian plugin and publish it.

Is there anyone with the Obsidian team I could talk to about any interest they might have in kicking us any swag I can offer as a prize?

I will be evangelizing Obsidian and onboarding many new devs (~15) to the product so there is value being provided to the program and the company

Anyhow, just curious and didn’t know how to reach out. Cheers!

What a lovely idea. You could get multiple meetings out of the idea. “Welcome to Obsidian, its uses, and ecosystem”. Obsidian theming, Obsidian plugin code review, and more. As always, depending upon interest and audience. There are also example use cases of developer vaults.

Completely agree!

Developer vaults? I didn’t know of those! I’ll have to look for some

Reach out to the Obsidian team directly via their contact page or their official Discord server, they’re usually pretty responsive and supportive of community-driven initiatives.
