Literature Review Synthesizer — a plugin that turns reading notes into structured lit review outputs
I was working through a lot of academic papers and keeping notes in Obsidian. At some point the notes became unmanageable. I had observations scattered across dozens of files but no way to see what they said together, thematically, methodologically, and where the gaps were.
So I built a plugin that does that synthesis work.
How it works
You point it at your reading notes. It calls your own LLM provider and produces structured outputs from what you’ve already written. Nothing leaves your vault except the call to your provider.
What it produces:
- Thematic synthesis across your sources
- Methodological comparison
- Gap analysis
- Draft sections you can drop directly into a review
Supported providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint including OpenRouter.
