Lists: Folding hides content outside of the fold when switching from reading to edit mode

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create nested outline like the following example:
  • A
    • B
      • C
  • D
  1. Switch to Reading mode.
  2. Fold B. (Hides C)
  3. Switch back to Edit mode.
  4. D is is now hidden when only C should be hidden.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide?

Yes. Used the Sandbox Vault.

Expected result

For D to not be collapsed under B and remain visible.

Actual result

D was collapsed under B and no longer visible after switching from Reading mode back to Edit mode.

Additional information

Recorded a video in the sandbox vault to demonstrate the issue (youtube video):

There is a existing bug report that is related to folding, but this seemed different enough of a situation I didn’t want to assume it was the same issue:

thanks

Yeah just came across this issue too. Even if you create a 50 line gap between them it still hides the content when switching modes. Hope this will get fixed.

It has been months and this bug persists
