Links to somewhere in the same page force a new tab when the page is pinned

Steps to reproduce

  1. In the sandbox go to the Start Here page and create the following internal link:
    [[#What is this place?]] Click on the link and you will see that it works.
  2. Now pin the Start page. Click on the link again.

Expected result

it would take me to that part of the page

Actual result

Result: the Start Here page opens in a new tab.

And why was the only reply set as a solution?

The way I read it, it wasn’t a solution but rather another post about the same issue, which I assume remains unresolved given that the it’s still a ‘problem’.

This was sent to the graveyard because it is not a bug but how obsidian currently works:
Pinned tab = do not open here (which I understand you do not always like like).

Hopefully the feature request will be implemented, as it corresponds more to how people actually use pin.
