Linking Articles Without Showing Up On Graph View

What I’m trying to do

I am trying to link an article to another without having it show up in the graph view. Basically I am using Obsidian to write my comic. I write stories about the characters and want to link the stories to the character profile, but as the titles are lengthy, I don’t like the look of it on the graph. Furthermore, I like the graph being just information on characters, setting, powers, etc.

Things I have tried

I don’t know how to go about that, plus Obsidian is the first time I’ve used this kind of coding while writing

Thank y’all!

Have you tried filtering the graph view using the “Search options”?

  • You could exclude files from a particular folder, e.g. path: -"Articles"
  • or only include files from a particular tag or property, e.g. tag: #character

It would be nice to have “saved searches” in graph view for this kind of thing—you may need to manually type your query in each time it changes.

Hope that helps!
