Ok im sure this is something so simple but i just cant get it to work.
Assume i have two obsidian windows as below:
Window 1 with one file open
Window2 with one file open
In obsidian, whenever you have multiple windows open, the menu icons on the right/left sidebars are only shown on one window as shown below (left=window1 and right=window2):
Note that the above are separate windows not split windows.
Now the issue i have is if i am editing tables in both files open in each window, i am not able to access the advanced table options (shown below) in the right side bar for the file in window2.
If i am editing the file in Window1 i can access the right sidebar however when i am editing file2 in window 2 and then try to add a new row to the file in window2 it does not work because it activates the file in window1 - i.e whenever i click on the right sidebar in Window1, the table in the file in window1 becomes the active table that is updated hence if i click the button to add a new row its added to the file in window1 (hopefully that makes sense).
The only way i can edit a table that is in a different window is by right clicking on the table and using the row/column options on the pop up menu.
Is there a way i can edit a table in window2 (which does not show any sidebar)?
I guess i could move the file to the other window but i would like to be able to do this regardless of which window the file is in. Alternatively is there an option to enable the right/left sidebars in all windows?
