Last Modified time updating misbehavior

Last modified time is acting like last seen time.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Be in Source Mode or Live Preview
  2. Simply opening a note changes its last modified time
  3. Open another note and check the last modified time on the previous note you opened before

Expected result

The last modified time to stay the same because no changes to the file were made.

Actual result

Last modified time changes.

You are misinterpreting this issue.
This doesn’t happen all the time.
This happens because your files use a different line encoding than Obsidian does.
Once the file is opened and converted by Obsidian, any further opening/closing won’t affect the modified time (unless you change again the line encoding externally again).
