I can reproduce a lag on a large vault ONLY if the file sidebar is in view and the file list is expanded.

After the upgrade to 1.8.9 unfortunately the lag is still very visible whan the file explorer panel is showing. It goes away immediately on simply hiding the panel. I saw some performance improvements in the changelog, but this is still thereā¦
I canāt produce it anymore. We fixed the problem I found. I am not sure what problem you have.
Are you testing with restricted mode on after restarting Obsidian?
If you want/can: zip a vault where this happens, upload it somewhere, and dm a link to it.

Yes restricted mode on and restarted. The lag is worse the bigger the windows is (MacOS). Slowest when full screen. Ok when window small.
Canāt share my vault unfortunately.
And problem 100% goes away when closing the left panel ā¦

have you fixed your problem? iāve tried turning off Hardware Acceleration on Appearance setting tab and it worked on my device
