So when I activate the italics keybind (ctrl+i) it creates two stars for italics, however, unlike other text editors, when pressing ctrl+i again just creates another set of italics, requiring me to move my hands to my arrow keys to arrow out of the italics instead of it just exiting the italic stars for me. Mildly annoying, I don’t imagine there’s a scenario ever where people want italics in italics (and I just did the double italics here on the form to smh) so it should just be the default behaviour. The same behaviour should apply to bold too, and when bold and italics are being combined.
